eBay Publishing
Pointless POS can publish products directly to your eBay store, keeping your online marketplace listings in sync with your POS inventory.
Enabling eBay Publishing
- Navigate to Settings > Software & Hardware > Interfaces.
- Under Home Page — Customer View, toggle Enable eBay Publishing to
ON. - Click Save.
Configuring eBay Settings
Full eBay configuration (credentials, store settings, fulfillment policies, return policies) is managed through dedicated eBay settings pages:
- eBay Settings — API credentials, store connection, and general configuration.
- eBay Publish Product — How to publish individual products and product listings.
- eBay Fulfillment Policy — Shipping and handling policies.
- eBay Return Policy — Return acceptance and window settings.
Product-Level eBay Visibility
Individual price tiers and price categories can be marked for eBay publishing using the webEnabled flag. A product must be:
- Active in the catalog.
- Web Enabled at the product level.
- Have at least one price tier with
webEnabledset.
How It Works
When a product is published:
- Product name, description, and images are sent to your eBay store.
- Pricing is pulled from the product's retail price or active price tier.
- Inventory quantities sync from your POS stock levels.
- When stock reaches zero in your POS, the eBay listing is marked as out of stock.
Considerations
- Images: Products need a main image (
urlImageMain) for the eBay listing. Listings without images may be deprioritized by eBay's search. - Descriptions: Use
onlineDescriptionfor eBay product descriptions. Plain text and basic HTML are supported. - Categories: Ensure products have a clear category assignment — eBay requires a valid category for each listing.
- Pricing accuracy: Verify that the price tier used for eBay matches your intended marketplace price.
