Manage Discounts, Happy Hour & Specials

Pointless MCP can update discounts, happy hour windows, and scheduled specials the same way you'd tell a manager what to change — in plain language, across one location or several, for specific items, categories, and order types.

What You Can Ask For

  • Happy hour pricing — "Update happy hour for Burritos across all 5 locations, but leave Costa Mesa untouched."
  • Time-windowed pricing — "Set the burrito price to $8.50 from 2:00–4:00 PM on weekdays."
  • Scheduled specials — Describe a recurring or one-time special (day of week, date range, order type) and MCP builds the schedule for you.
  • Per-location exceptions — Call out specific locations to skip or treat differently in the same request.

How It Works

  1. Open the MCP assistant and describe the change — which item(s) or category, the discount or price, the time window or schedule, and which locations it applies to (or doesn't).
  2. MCP looks at your menu, categories, and existing price tiers to work out what the request affects.
  3. MCP shows you what it's about to change — items, locations, and the schedule — before saving anything.
  4. Once you confirm, MCP creates or updates the discount, happy hour window, or scheduled special to match.

Reviewing Changes

After an update, review the affected items and schedules in the same Price Tiers settings you'd normally use for manual changes — MCP-created entries use the same fields, so they can be edited or removed at any time.
