Prep Screen
The Prep Screen provides a dedicated view for managing order preparation across kitchen stations, package pickup, bar prep, and delivery workflows. It replaces the standard order view with large cards, location-based filtering, and real-time status tracking.
Prerequisites
Before the Prep View option is available, the following must be configured:
- A terminal must be assigned to the device that will display the Prep Screen
- The assigned terminal must have Enable Prep View toggled on
To configure:
- Navigate to Settings → Terminals
- Select or create the terminal that will serve as your Prep Monitor
- Enable the Enable Prep View toggle
- Save the terminal settings
The Enable Prep View toggle controls two features:
- The View Prep button on the Orders toolbar
- The Notify button on individual order headers for customer notifications
Accessing Prep View
From the Orders screen toolbar, click View Prep (countertops icon). The screen switches to the prep-specific layout with controls not available in other order views.
Return to the normal order view using the List / Grid / Calendar toggle in the toolbar.
Layout
The Prep Screen is organized into three sections:
Header controls — Prep Timing toggle (Today / Tomorrow / Future), Online Orders toggle (Web / All), and Estimated Prep Time display.
Filter bar — Printer location toggles (All, Kitchen, Bar, Barista with icons), Prep Status toggles (Pending, Prepping, Ready), Refresh button, and view style toggle.
Order grid — Large cards showing order details, scheduled date/time, item count, and action buttons. Scheduled Items summary panel displayed on the side.
Order Card Actions
Each prep card displays:
- Order time and elapsed minutes
- Service type, table name, employee, customer name
- Scheduled date/time (if a preferred schedule date is set)
- Order memo, if present

Scheduled Items Summary
The Scheduled Items panel aggregates items by name, filtered by the current printer location and prep status. Shows item name, quantity ordered, and stock remaining. Supports toggling the list, refreshing, CSV download, and print/export.
