Managing Routes

The Route Dispatch list is the central hub for creating routes, assigning pending orders, and tracking route status.

Route List

Navigate to Route Dispatch from your menu. The list shows all routes filtered by date range and driver.

Filtering Routes

• Start Date / End Date — Filter routes by date range.
• Driver — Filter by a specific driver or view all drivers.
• Click Search to apply filters.

Status Toggles

Toggle	Shows
Open	Routes that are still being built or are ready to drive.
Closed	Routes that have been completed.
All	Every route regardless of status.

Creating a New Route

1. Click New Route on the route list.
2. Fill in the route details:
   • Route Date — The delivery date (required).
   • Driver — Select from the driver list.
   • Dispatcher — Select the dispatcher managing this route.
   • Vehicle — Vehicle identifier (e.g., VAN-01).
   • Optimization Mode — Choose Car (fastest), Heavy Vehicle, or Cycling.
   • Ready to Drive — Toggle on when the route is finalized.
   • Notes — Internal dispatcher notes.
3. Click Save or Save & Exit.

Assigning Orders to Routes

Drag and Drop

1. Pending orders appear in the Pending — Not Assigned section.
2. Drag a pending order card onto an open route to assign it.
3. Drag onto the Drop here to create a new route zone to auto-create a route from a single order.

Manual Assignment

1. Open a route's details page.
2. Click Add Stop to create a new stop.
3. Paste the order UUID to look up and auto-populate the order's shipping address.
4. Fill in any missing address fields.
5. Save the stop.

Unassigning a Stop

From the stop editor, click Remove from Dispatch to unassign a stop. It returns to the pending list and can be added to another route.

Closing a Route

When all deliveries on a route are complete:

1. Click the check circle icon on the route card, or open the route details and close it from there.
2. The route status changes to Completed with a completion timestamp.

Deleting a Route

Click the delete icon on a route card. Confirm the deletion. All stops on the route are removed.
