Menus
The Menu Manager controls how products are organized and displayed in TV/print menus and custom menu views. Menus are used for both customer-facing displays (digital signage, printed menus) and staff ordering interfaces.
Menu Sections
Menus are organized into sections. Each section groups related items together (e.g., Appetizers, Entrees, Drinks).
Features:
- Create, edit, and delete menu sections
- Assign items to sections
- Set display order and grouping rules
- Enable or disable sections
Item Assignment
Items are assigned to menu sections from the product catalog. An item can appear in multiple menu sections.
Menu Scheduling
Menus can be scheduled to appear during specific times or days. This is useful for:
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus
- Day-part promotions
- Seasonal offerings
- Special event menus
TV / Print Menu Output
The Full Print/TV Menu setting (configured in Interfaces Settings) controls whether the menu display is enabled for customers and staff. The menu output formats items according to the section structure and applied styling.
Custom Menus
Custom menus allow you to define user-specific menu views. These are selected per user type or per terminal in the Transaction Settings default custom menu selector.
Menu changes take effect immediately on terminals. No restart is required.
